Intro Seminar Overview

Clinical Application to TCVM and Integrative Medicine—Intro to Small Animal Acupuncture is a 7-CE-hour introductory seminar that covers the Fundamental Principles of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and its two major branches: Veterinary Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Come to UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine for the Intro to Small Animal Acupuncture on February 22, 2025. Space for the on-site event is limited to just 50 participants, so be sure to register early. If you prefer, you can also join the unlimited-capacity webinar option, which is now available.

Several demonstrations will take place during the session. If you join via webinar, please be aware that your view of the demonstrations might be limited. Additionally, printed materials and supplies will not be provided.

For those interested in equine acupuncture, Chi University does offer an online equine seminar: Introduction to Veterinary Acupuncture and Medical in Equine Practice. More information on the equine seminar with Chi University can be found here.

Goals

These seminars are not only valuable for veterinarians new to integrative veterinary medicine modalities but can be a refresher course for those who may have studied it years ago. With these seminars, participants will be able to:

  • Learn clinical tips and applications for veterinary acupuncture.
  • Evaluate the fundamental principles of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), including Yin-Yang and Five Elements.
  • Understand how to use Veterinary Acupuncture for pain management in dogs.
