Ronald Koh

Ronald Koh DVM, MS, DACVSMR, CVA, CCRP, CVMMP, CVCH, CVFT

Dr. Ronald Koh received his veterinary degree in Taiwan in 2006 and later completed a specialty internship followed by a master’s program in acupuncture at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, he spent 6.5 years on the faculty of the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he served as an assistant professor (2015-2020) and a service chief of Integrative Medicine and Rehabilitation Service. He is certified in acupuncture, rehabilitation, herbal therapy, and medical manipulation. He completed his residency in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2019. His research and clinical focus have been on integrative and rehabilitative medicine therapies for pain management, orthopedic impairments, neurological deficits, geriatric conditions, and palliative/hospice care. His focus within TCVM is using traditional, scalp, and topographic acupuncture, along with herbal medicine for neurological conditions. He lectures on TCVM, integrative medicine, and rehabilitation for veterinary schools, conferences, and general public events. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and traveling.

Janice Huntingford

Janice Huntingford DVM, MS, DACVSMR, CVA, CVPP, cAVCA

Dr. Janice Huntingford is a 1984 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, in Guelph, Ontario. She is certified in chiropractic, acupuncture, rehabilitation, and pain management. She is the owner and medical director of the Essex Animal Hospital, Canine Rehab and Fitness in Essex, Ontario Canada. In 2015, she became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (DACVSMR) and received a Master’s in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) from the Chi University. In 2023, she became an Assistant Professor for the Chi University in Reddick Florida. She is a consultant for the VIN Rehab/Sports Medicine/Chronic Pain board and sits on many boards including an International Osteoarthritis Task Force and the World Association of TCVM. She is currently the Director of Chi Canada and teaches acupuncture, pain, and rehabilitation courses in Canada and internationally.

Emily Mangan

Emily Mangan DVM, CTCVM, CVMMP, CCRV

Dr. Emily Mangan received her DVM from Oregon State University. Dr. Mangan studied veterinary acupuncture at the Chi University as a veterinary student, and, following graduation, immersed herself in Chinese veterinary medicine (TCVM) by obtaining certification in Chinese herbal medicine, food therapy, and Tui-na. She is also certified in veterinary medical manipulation and canine rehabilitation. She completed an internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine followed by an Integrative Medicine Internship at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, and wanted to treat every patient with TCVM along the way. She is an assistant professor at Chi University and frequently contributes journal articles and textbook chapters about TCVM. She lectures on TCVM in the U.S. and internationally, and serves on the board of the World Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (WATCVM). She lives on a little farm in Pleasant Hill, Oregon, and owns a house-call practice providing mixed-animal integrative medicine in the beautiful Willamette Valley.

Sayaka Shiomitsu

Sayaka Shiomitsu DVM, CVA, CCRP

Sayaka Shiomitsu, DVM, CCRP, CVA grew up in Japan. She attended Azabu University in Japan and received a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She completed a Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation internship at Cornell University, Ithaca NY. She is currently a second-year canine track resident of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of California, Davis. In addition to her work, Dr. Shiomitsu volunteered as a race veterinarian for the 2022 Yukon Quest sled dog race in the Alaskan interior and worked with exceptional, canine athletes. In her spare time, Dr. Shiomitsu enjoys biking and cooking.

Paul Brummet

Paul Brumett DVM, CCRP, CAVCA

Dr. Paul Brumett has a BS degree in Animal Science and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Auburn University. He has additional training in Dentistry, Emergency Medicine, Complementary therapy (Eden Energy Medicine for Animals and Healing Touch for Animals, Practitioner), and is Certified by the University of Tennessee in Canine Rehabilitation and the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in Animal Chiropractic. He has worked in Mixed Animal Practice, Small Animal General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Canine Rehabilitation and as a representative and educator for Medivet Products/Hero Brace’s Custom Orthotics during his career. In 2013 he began his journey in integrative medicine to help his patients further as he felt limited by traditional medicine. Dr. Brumett practices in Grand Junction, CO and is owner of Animal Tracks Rehabilitation and Fitness LLC.
