Dr. Oceane Aubry is a board-certified veterinary medical oncologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, cutting-edge care for pets with cancer. 

Dr. Aubry earned her BS from Cornell University in 2000 and her DVM from Kansas State University in 2004. After two years in general practice in Orange County, CA, she completed a one-year specialty oncology internship in Florida followed by a three-year medical oncology residency and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She became board-certified in medical oncology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) shortly after returning to Orange County to practice. 

In 2021, Dr. Aubry moved to San Diego, and in 2026, she became the first veterinary medical oncologist based at the UC Davis Hobbs Veterinary Medical Center in San Diego. 

Dr. Aubry has broad expertise in all areas of oncology, with particular focus on lymphoma, mast cell tumors, and electrochemotherapy.

Dr. Joao Orvalho, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology), graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Lisbon, Portugal. He completed a rotating small animal internship at The Ohio State University and a cardiology residency at UC Davis.

He is now a clinical cardiology specialist at UC Veterinary Medical Center – San Diego, with expertise in echocardiography, electrocardiography, and cardiac angiography. His interests include interventional cardiology—such as pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty, and patent ductus arteriosus occlusion—and research in 3D echocardiography, cardiorenal syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, and therapies that improve quality of life for patients with heart disease.
