UC Davis Large Animal Hospital New Imaging Center Open House and CE
Join us in person at UC Davis for a FREE educational event open to all veterinary professionals!
Earn CE credit while exploring the latest in large animal imaging, guided by UC Davis faculty experts.
During the Open House seminar, Dr. Mathieu Spriet, Professor of Diagnostic Imaging, will provide an overview of advanced imaging modalities and their specific applications. Dr. Monica Aleman, Professor of Neurology, will discuss gait abnormalities, emphasizing how to differentiate between neurologic and orthopedic conditions. Dr. Carter Judy, Professor of Equine Surgery, will present the latest advancements in spinal surgery from head to tail.
To conclude the seminar, all three speakers will participate in a panel discussion, addressing questions from the audience.
Following the seminar, refreshments will be served, and in-person attendees are invited to tour the All Species Imaging Center, guided by our clinicians.

The new All Species Imaging Center at UC Davis offers the most comprehensive advanced imaging capabilities for horses. With Qalibra CT, high-field 3T MRI, and PET, it provides an unmatched combination of diagnostic tools.
- Standing CT: Head and distal limbs under sedation
- Advanced CT: Myelograms, stifle, pelvis, and lumbar under anesthesia
- MRI: 3T imaging for head and limbs (anesthetized)
- PET: Available for standing or anesthetized horses based on clinical need
Combined with standing MRI, scintigraphy, and ultrasound, the Large Animal Hospital offers the full range of imaging options to accurately assess equine patients.
