SPEAKERS

• Jane Sykes BVSc(Hons), PhD, MBA, MPH, DACVIM (SAIM), FACVIM (Founding)
• 

  Dr. Jane Sykes is a Professor at the University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with a special interest in small animal infectious diseases. Her research interests are focused on infectious diseases of dogs and cats of public health significance; she has published over 150 peer-reviewed scientific publications and is the editor of several textbooks on canine and feline infectious diseases. She founded the International Society for Companion Animal Infectious Diseases (ISCAID) and has held several leadership roles in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), including President and Board Chair of the ACVIM as a whole. She is also the Director of the UC Davis Center for Veterinary Postgraduate Education, speaks internationally on infectious diseases and post-graduate veterinary education, and is the “Ask A Vet” columnist for the Washington Post.

• Glynn Woods BVMS, MSc, MRCVS, DECVIM

• 

  Dr. Glynn Woods graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2015. After 2 years in general practice in England, Dr. Woods completed a rotating internship at Glasgow University before undertaking an internal medicine residency at University of Edinburgh in September 2018. Dr. Woods completed his residency and masters in September 2021, achieved European diploma status in May 2022 and accepted a faculty position at the University of Edinburgh, remaining as a senior lecturer in small animal internal medicine department for 2.5 years. Dr. Woods is now completing a fellowship in infectious disease at UC Davis, working alongside of Dr. Sykes and Dr. Dear. Dr. Woods enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, particularly complex cases involving opportunistic infections and enjoys any opportunity to teach.

  Email the CVPE office at [email protected]: Notify the CVPE office would like to do department billing and provide the CoA string to charge your registration.

  The CVPE office will provide you with the registration link to register with an Invoice Option.

  During Registration at the Payment Page:

• Complete the VMTH Staff CE & Travel Reimbursement Request Form: Fill out the request form and email it to Yuliana Hernandez Rodriguez for CE funding confirmation.

  Email the CVPE office at [email protected]: Notify the CVPE office when you have submitted the request form to Yuliana. 

  Once the CVPE office has received confirmation from Yuliana Hernandez Rodriguez that your CE funding is available, the CVPE office will provide you with the registration link to register with an Invoice Option.

  Attendance is recorded through the Zoom when you join a Zoom session.
  You will earn up to 2 hours of statutorily approved CE credits. Participants are responsible for determining if specific programs are accepted for CE credit by their State Licensing Board.
  
  CE certificate will be sent via email approximately 2 weeks after the event.
• Webinar Information
• The webinar will be live (Pacific Time) and interactive; it will count for full CE credit. We will use Zoom to host the virtual symposium. If you have never attended a Zoom conference before, test your computer or mobile device here.
  
  You can watch the virtual symposium on your computer. Ensure your web browser is up to date and that you enable your computer to allow Zoom to have access to your speakers/mic for sound.
• Cancellation Policy
• A refund will be issued, minus a $5.00 processing fee, if the cancellation request is received at least two weeks before the program start date. Registration is non-refundable within two weeks of the program start date and after the program has begun, including for no-shows. This means that cancellations made on or after the start date are not eligible for a refund. All requests must be submitted in writing. Submit cancellation requests via email to [email protected].
• Technical Issues Policy

• We understand that technical issues can sometimes arise, and we are committed to providing the best experience possible for all our attendees. In the result of technical issues, efunds will be considered if you are unable to log in to the webinar under the following circumstance:

  Platform Downtime: If the platform encounters significant downtime preventing access to the event for a prolonged period, as determined by our technical support team.
  
  Non-Refundable Circumstances:

  Refunds will not be issued under the following conditions:

  User Error: If the issue is due to incorrect login credentials, browser compatibility problems, device issues on the attendee's end, or if an attendee forgets about the conference or has a scheduling conflict.

  Incorrect Conference Date/Time: If you missed the conference due to forgetting the date or having the wrong time.
   
  Refund Processing

  Once your refund request is verified and approved, either a full or partial refund of your registration fee will be processed. After that time, please allow up to 5 business days for the refund to be completed, depending on your original payment method.
  
  Limitation of Liability
