On-Demand Continuing Education Course - Clinical Approach to the Oral Mass

This course is designed for Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants and focuses on the clinical approach to oral masses in veterinary patients. This lecture will review the presentation of oral tumors, diagnostic strategies, and available treatment options. Emphasis will be placed on recognizing common clinical signs, selecting appropriate diagnostic tools, and understanding treatment modalities, including surgical and medical management.

Upon completion, participants will receive a CE certificate indicating they have earned 1 hour of on-demand self-study credit.

Stephanie Goldschmidt BVM&S, DAVDC, DEVDC, F-OMFS
Dr. Stephanie Goldschmidt is an assistant tenure track professor in Dentistry and Oral surgery at the University of California- Davis. She completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science. She received her veterinary degree from the Royal School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and then went on to complete a rotating internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island. Following residency training she spent five years as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Minnesota. She is currently undergoing fellowship training in both oral medicine and oromaxillofacial surgery. Her subspecialty clinical and research area is oral oncology, specifically she is focused on improving treatment paradigms with the use of theragnostic agents. Her current projects include using flourescence imaging to evaluate intraoperative surgical margins and evaluating EGFR expression in canine oral tumors.

Refunds for cancellations will be considered if requested by email to svmcontinuinged@ucdavis.edu within two weeks of registration. Cancellations made before accessing the CANVAS platform will receive a refund minus a $5 processing fee. Cancellations are non-refundable once you have accessed the course on the CANVAS platform.
