Join us for a 2-hour virtual Mini Bootcamp - Parasiticides and Vector-Borne Disease on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, sponsored by Elanco.
Be among the first 500 participants to register and attend for free! After that, registration is $25 for the next 500 participants.
Join us for an engaging and practical tag-team presentation from Dr. Jane Sykes and Dr. Erin Lashnits! This dynamic session will explore current approaches to the recognition, diagnosis, and prevention of canine and feline vector-borne diseases, including those caused by bacteria, protozoa, and parasites. Drawing from compelling cases at UC Davis, North Carolina State University, and the University of Wisconsin, the speakers will share practical insights you can apply directly in practice. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and benefit from the combined expertise of these experienced faculty members.
After this session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize clinicopathologic abnormalities that raise suspicion for specific vector-borne infectious diseases
- Interpret diagnostic tests for vector-borne pathogens, including point-of-care tests and laboratory-based panels
- Identify factors that influence how parasiticide prevention programs should be tailored to vectors and pathogens in their region
