Join us as we make our way to Lake Tahoe to learn from some of the most outstanding minds in dentistry veterinary medicine. This year's Dentistry and Oromaxillofacial Surgery Conference will provide veterinarians and technicians quality continuing education as well as a family-friendly experience! During this 3 day conference, participants will have plenty of time in-between the morning and evening sessions to play in the snow, ski or snowboard the Sierra Nevada mountains and slopes, hike, or enjoy free time in the bustling Lake Tahoe area.
FOOD: Light breakfast, coffee and tea are served every morning and appetizers and beverages each evening before lectures.
CLIMATE & CLOTHING: The Sierra Nevada weather conditions varies throughout the day and can result in drastic differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures. Casual and informal attire is appropriate for daytime and evening sessions.

SPEAKERS
- Boaz Arzi DVM, DAVDC, DEVDC, FF-AVDC (OMFS)
Dr. Boaz Arzi is a Professor and Chief of Dentistry and Oral surgery at the department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Arzi completed the residency-training program in dentistry and oral surgery at the School of Veterinary Medicine and two years fellowship in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UC Davis. He is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) and the European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC). Dr. Arzi is also a Founding Fellow of the AVDC in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Arzi’s clinical and research focus is on oral maxillofacial disorders and regenerative solutions in dogs and cats. His lab also investigates TMJ disorders and treatments across species. Dr. Arzi is the Director of the Veterinary Institute for Regenerative Cures (VIRC) at UC Davis. Ultimately, Dr. Arzi’s work is translational with the aim of One Health treatment modalities for both human and animal health.
- Maria Soltero-Rivera DVM, DAVDC
Dr. Maria Soltero-Rivera is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Dentistry and Oral surgery at the Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Soltero-Rivera completed her residency-training program in dentistry and oral surgery at PennVet and has worked as a visiting scientist at Dr. Joe De Risi’s lab focusing on illuminating feline gingivostomatitis causative agents using metatranscriptomic next-generation RNA sequencing technology. She is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC). Dr. Soltero-Rivera’s clinical and research focus is on oral medicine. Her lab investigates the diagnosis and treatment of chronic oral inflammatory disease in dogs and cats by analyzing the oral microbiome, the interkingdom interactions within this, and the host response with the goal of translational implications in the human field.
- Stephanie Goldschmidt BVM&S, DAVDC
Dr. Stephanie Goldschmidt is an assistant tenure track professor in Dentistry and Oral surgery at the University of California- Davis. She completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science. She received her veterinary degree from the Royal School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and then went on to complete a rotating internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island. Following residency training she spent five years as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Minnesota. She is currently undergoing fellowship training in both oral medicine and oromaxillofacial surgery. Her subspecialty clinical and research area is oral oncology, specifically she is focused on improving treatment paradigms with the use of theragnostic agents. Her current projects include using flourescence imaging to evaluate intraoperative surgical margins and evaluating EGFR expression in canine oral tumors.

A registration refund will be made, less a $150.00 processing fee, if the cancellation request is received two weeks before the program start date, otherwise, a refund will be made, less a $300.00 processing fee. Registration is non-refundable after the program start date. All requests must be made in writing. Submit cancellation request via email to svmcontinuinged@ucdavis.edu.
