Join the Center for Continuing Professional Education and Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine for a morning of content filled lectures based on nutritional support, proper nutrition and pharmacology followed by afternoon tour sessions at UCD VMTH Small and Large Animal Clinic and round tables. The event is open to Registered Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Veterinary Technology Students. The tours are limited to 10 people per tour. During registration, you will be able to select up to 1 tour. Registration is limited, register early to secure your spot for this exciting Veterinary Technician Celebration!

  • Deanna DeSmet BS, RVT

  • Deanna DeSmet

    Deanna DeSmet received her veterinary technician degree from Yuba Community College in 2008. She served in private practice starting out in kennel care and assisting in 2006. Took on the Technician role in 2008. In 2011, she then completed her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She obtained a practice management position in 2011. During this time she also instructed Veterinary Assistant training certification classes through Boston Reed College. Currently, she has been a Territory Manager with Hill’s Pet Nutrition since 2015. She focuses on supporting the Northern California veterinary profession with education and training on small animal clinical nutrition.

  • Jennifer Kachadorian
    Jennifer Kachadorian graduated from Western Career College in 1996, and obtained her RVT license during that time. She worked for 7 years in a 24 hour emergency and specialty practice. After that, Jennifer helped open a practice in Davis, CA as the lead RVT and practice manager and was there for 7 years while she worked to get her BA in English from the Sacramento State University. In 2009, Jennifer joined Hill's in the academic affairs department as a technician educator. In 2011, she joined the sales team as a territory manager, which is her current role today.

  • Heather Lee

    Heather Lee has been a Territory Manager for Hill's Pet Nutrition for over 10 years. Her current territory starts in the foothills outside of Sacramento, goes over the Sierras and all includes all of upper Nevada. A love of all animals led her to become a

    Registered Veterinary Technician and earn a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology. Working for Hill's Pet Nutrition allows Heather to fulfill her passion to help animals, pet parents and the veterinary community by educating on the importance of great nutrition.

  • Vicky Ograin MBA, RVT, VTS (Nutrition)

  • Vicky Ograin

    Vicky Ograin received her technician degree from Los Angeles Pierce College. She served in private practice for many years in California, and then 21 years ago began a career with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, where she is a Scientific Communication Specialist VHCT, in the US Professional Veterinary Affairs department. She focuses on education for technicians and the health care team as well as strategy for veterinary technicians in tech schools and graduates.

    In 2007, she completed a Bachelor of Science and in 2008, she completed a Masters, both in Business Administration. Vicky obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in nutrition in June 2013 and serves as secretary for the Academy of Veterinary Nutrition Technicians. Vicky speaks nationally and internationally and is a published author.
